I might be going insane, but there's something that speaks to me about our connection with humanity, the internet, and God…I don't know what it is yet, but the idea of using technology to transcend into a higher being appeals to me. And I guess for me that looks like living life the way it is and being calm and reassured that everything will be fine, accepting we're in a very technological and online world, and that we're losing our touch with reality. We also accept the end and the tragedies that happen from technology. (Although i'm aware this is already kind of a concept found in stoicism and asceticism probably trans-humanism).

This all probably sounds generic but I think it speaks for myself when I realize that i'm going to be stuck online for a long time, like many other people in the wired world of the web.

This might appeal to you, but if you are being perfectly honest with yourself, do you even believe that it's possible? And if you believe it's possible, what does that even mean, to be a "higher being"?
What you need is Jesus Christ, brother. There is no higher being than Christ, who is God in the flesh. Through Him, and only through Him you may become a "higher being", someone who is holy, righteous, loving, gentle, humble, merciful etc… This happens only, and ONLY through the grace of God, who is ultimately the source of all goodness.
In Him is also the peace and calmness you are looking for, together with the assurance that everything will be fine.
Read the gospel of John, brother, and really consider:
Is it possible that Jesus Christ of Nazareth truly is who he claimed to be? The living Son of God of the universe?
I testify and assure to you that He truly is.

I'm not really religious. and I don't think there's anything divine or whatever about the internet. I think it's a cool revolutionary thing that lets people connect and learn things together and can empower people to have experiences they may not have otherwise had, tho

>and that we're losing our touch with reality
Care to expand on this? Like, how do you conceptualize reality and being in or out of touch with it?

Personally, I am unsure how I feel about this whole thing.

On one hand, my animistic beliefs harmonize very well with my love for tinkering and understanding, and my experiments re-programming of xenophobia to xenophilia.

On the other, I have a growing sense of dread from the speed at which a lot of technology operates, and the growing rift between reliance on and comprehension of more and more advanced technology.

I'm trying to solve this by ways of technological degrowth without resorting to primitivism, combined with spiritual breadth and ecological grounding. Insha'allah we get planetarily stable ecosystmems for circuit boards and drugs, but my imagination is having trouble visualizing how we'll get there.

by living your life on the internet, your body becomes an afterthought. you can be anything you want to be online, so you're basically free of your body. this anti-materialist anti-body sentiment is what drives most of the world's religions, so i guess that's why you feel like using the internet enough could lead to a religious experience. once again lain ppredicted this

I might be first and the last time on this board and i may not be fluent with english because its not my native language but i know something.

So you see the world has been created as a prophecy about all things that existed and will exist. Demons tried to influence integrity of these prophecy by trying to rewrite it, than they got banished into state when they can not communicate with our world so they can not influence on this prophecy anymore. Not long before this humanity were created and humans contain divine spark which can influence prophecy but not in the direct way but the way we believe the reality was, is and will be. Technologies were given to humanity by demons in form of basic knowledge how to use fire to process metal (this is what myth of Prometheus about). Humanity used this knowledge to advance technologie to its current state where additional layer of reality had been created, which is known as an internet. This layer consists mostly of material-trenscendent flows of human feelings and information/ All of this is what divine spark inside of us produce and actually is the form of energie. On this layer demons could communicate indirectly, they being fed with this energie and they transform it in other kinds of energie which humans recieve back. This leads to creation of reality forks, since humans start to believe reality was, is and will be diferent from person to person and different from what original prophecy meant it to be. This way demons are gaining influence on prophecy and more power to intervene to this world once again. I don't really know which side is side of goodness actually, only i know its that Christ was good guy for sure and Magdalene was only apostole who truly understood his teachings. Yeah, I guess if you want to discuss this topic you might find me on deada.ch, Im usualy hanging out on there and you can just invite me back here.
