This might appeal to you, but if you are being perfectly honest with yourself, do you even believe that it's possible? And if you believe it's possible, what does that even mean, to be a "higher being"?
What you need is Jesus Christ, brother. There is no higher being than Christ, who is God in the flesh. Through Him, and only through Him you may become a "higher being", someone who is holy, righteous, loving, gentle, humble, merciful etc… This happens only, and ONLY through the grace of God, who is ultimately the source of all goodness.
In Him is also the peace and calmness you are looking for, together with the assurance that everything will be fine.
Read the gospel of John, brother, and really consider:
Is it possible that Jesus Christ of Nazareth truly is who he claimed to be? The living Son of God of the universe?
