ITT: You shill your interests
Talk about what you do for fun and profit and what you want to and what you aspire to do with those.
I've been studying some languages in the last years, consider myself fluent in 2 foreign languages including English (although not perfect, should be noted), but recently I realized that 3 languages and nothing more to add is the same as nothing, at least for an aspiring translator.
Besides languages, I used to like programming and mathematics, but it's a curse since I suck incredibly high at those. My logical reasoning is terrible, trying to find a solution to a problem feels like guessing numbers and getting all of them wrong.
I do like something more: Literature. My language got peak of it. Unfortunately, people in my country don't enjoy reading much for various reasons. I myself don't read much, too busy grinding for 13h screentime.
Here are more stuff I'm interested in, but haven't put effort in:
>COMPUTING GENERAL
I aspire to get a Kindle, jailbreak an old phone of mine into a lean postmarketOS install for a router, serving a Kiwix server, and pointing the Kindle browser onto it. It's a solution for my screen time that I have yet to test. Hardest part is getting a Kindle, and so far the plan is sound. I still got to think of what will go wrong. Is this phone compatible with pmOS or will Networkmanager run normally?
I know something about Linux, but I never got my hands on a serious machine besides Arm-based ones. Can't say for sure I'll succeed in getting a small Amd64 laptop and run a distro on it, but that's another goal.
>SEWING
I like ragdolls. I think I can squeeze a sewing machine in my house. But for now, I'll save for the needle and cloth and the basic stuff.
>RELIGION
Although not a fan of Christianity, I'm interested in some other religions like Shinto, Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam.
>CARTOONS
(I'm 18+) I watched them mainly in English since that's the only available language in my go-to piracy website. Right now, I'm training my Russian on Smeshariki and Umka (2022), and I get my French in check with Lou.
By the way, I want to sub Lou to my language, but I have yet to find a way I can add subtitles on my phone and publish them. I'm probably hardcoding them in a basic video editor and uploading them to Drive and linking them

Adding this more as consciousness-cleansing, since anything crossing the line from drawing pretty women to learning fundamentals feels mad boring to me.

I am mostly interested in languages, computer science stuff and math. I once liked videogames, I once liked japanese cartoons and comics. Now I really no longer care about this stuff, I feel that the life is short and I must spend the time I still have with something that truly matters. I want to learn about the topics mentioned but I had never dedicated myself fully to it. I've installed Gentoo on my old computer a few times. Average installation, then encrypted root installation (without systemd), just to wipe everything later and put OpenBSD, that I'm not even using. I am planning to install Gentoo again, but I am fucking tired. I read books from times to times. I was reading Anna Karenina sometime ago, but I've not finished it yet. I closed the book expecting to not open it again, cuz read works of fiction seems a waste of time according to my current worldview. I want to eventually learn hungarian, since it is the mother tongue of some pretty interesting people, like Von Neumann, Paul Erdos, and Kato Lomb. I started to get interested in trading, and I plan to test my luck and IQ on this zero-sum game, although I feel I am going to end up even poorer than I already am.
