It's finally time to head out again!
I left my long-time base in Scandinavia with a dear friend a little over a year ago and joined up with a bike-tour conveniently traversing the shore opposite the Baltic Sea at the same time as we were planning on leaving. We spent a few months biking through eastern Europe before settling in Vienna for the winter. I meant to keep going again come spring, but spring became summer, and summer is now gently settling into fall.
As I was preparing to get winter cozy in the house where I've been graciously hosted since april, my original travel-companion shows up at the door, sweat dripping, jokingly complaining how I don't read my emails, and asked if I wanted to join them now now now at our shared friend's place, to plan for another bike excursion. Naturally, I dropped everything (sorry M) and joined.
We're heading out beginning of october, aiming for the Aegean Sea, where my hope is to stow my bike in the corner of some ship and learn to sail! But that's thinking too far ahead. First: about 3000km – or ~3 months at a leisurely pace – of biking adventures!
