I recently watched Paprika. It's probably one of those that everyone has already watched but I really enjoyed it.

I would recommend ABe's other works, especially Texhnolyze, Haibane Renmei and Despera.

Can second Texhnolyze. Only problem is finding a high quality rip- would reccomend the Omnibus cut, which is upscaled to 1080p.

No, despera isn't an anime yet. Also, I personally don't recommend Texhnolyze. I've always felt that the writing subpar except until the last few episodes. Other than that, the show felt hollow and boring. I feel like the first episode is a great litmus test. If you enjoy the long moody shots of cityscapes, the boring fight scenes, pointless sex scenes, and empty droning dialogue then you'll love the show. I would recommend watching Haibane Renmei or Welcome to the NHK! instead. Those are both written much better in my opinion and both have art by Yoshitoshi ABe and they're closer in look to SEL, although NHK is fairly thematically different even in the manga as it's a lot more comedic.

although the anime is only a couple chapters of the manga, it's a good watch and very faithful to its source material
