I really enjoyed Lain, it's quite a surreal and short anime which makes you rethink life. It is extremely simple but it is worth watching. The fanbase is awesome.

Well kinda. The design of the website is bad and the lainons can be pretty idiots sometimes.

I'm ok with the design, despite some usability issues. Cliche? Sure, but it's not enough for me to say bad.
Many lainons are acting like idiots, increasingly so, and as someone who moderates imageboards and has witnessed fallouts from other imageboards, I have little faith in the moderators making the drastic actions necessary to make Lainchan lainlike once more. They can slow the descent and I respect that, but they can't fucking steer.
Is the zine essentially dead? It was refreshing to see a board with an actual culture that created original projects.
