Yeah, that's pretty much how it is here. That's why I love when I get the chance to see a train pass by. There's always interesting graffiti art on the boxcars. I'd like to start photographing them sometime.

Some pics a friend takes related to your topic, where I live there's a lot of this stuff, sometime's its just trash, as you mention it, but if you walk around enough, you can find some pretty cool stuff.

I love the look of it, especially if it's on abandoned and worn out places. or on currently used ones.

street art is great but tends to be attention seeky which takes away from it. It tends to be needlessly bold and colourful.

tagging is straight up vandalism and only takes things away. The niggers who do graffiti for ego are a massive problem.

Parkour was founded around discipline and striving for the best but graffiti seems to revolve around a desperate need for attention.
That said, there is a lot of good street art which needs to somehow get better.

With mobile phones and new innovations in decentralised technologies I think there is space to create a new community for art made without permission. I'm thinking something similar to pokemon go/geocaching and making it decentralised.
Rewarding people with attention or money for art naturally reduces the quality though so it would have to be well designed.

Well it is vandalism at some point but it looks so great…
